Top Notch Career Counselling at English for you

Uncategorized

What after 10+2, if you want to make a right choice, read this blog post?

No career is great in itself, but you can certainly make it great:

The biggest problem with Indian parents & pupils is that they sometimes fail to make wise choices, and end up wasting their time and money. I am just giving two instances from my own life and one other example to elucidate that how a good career can make you feel contended.

Are you teaching your son or daughter Science, just to become a best teacher?

Although teaching is also a great career but most of the people who start for something else, finally end up being a teacher that too unwillingly. We are caught in a vicious circle of getting trained by teachers and then becoming teachers. I am the proud mother of two daughters one is pursuing her career in content writing and the other is pursuing her career in Multimedia, but if I would have one more child he or she might be doing  Science or Commerce but only if the child would have shown the capability of doing that. Usually, if we talk with an average parent in India he will say, go for science (Physics, chemistry, Bio) if you want a good career or they would suggest the second option Commerce.

I am not against Physics, chemistry or Bio but if you talk about past science students, then they are grabbing good money by getting indulged in only teaching career because education is a big business in India and that is a vital point to be noted. Yes, teaching is no doubt a good career but people never start their journey by thinking that they will become a tutor, they accidentally fall into it, and because they are producing more science graduates, who would opt teaching profession.

I am not telling you to leave your field but just rethink why had you chose your stream or what would be the future of whatever you are going to opt for.

“Have you seen Mr. Sharma`s son he is earning 1lakh per month, and that too just by taking tuitions at home. Basically, science is over glorified and because of intense competition, the opportunities are very less and most of us just end up becoming a teacher’’

Cherishing a great career is just a step of maturity either you go for IELTS, PTE or any other Language or other course:

English being an international language is must to be learnt, so even if you are in your 5th Grade, you must work on your grammar, sentence structure and task response which are not only the main ingredients in learning Dulingo,,PTE, IELTS and Celpip but day to day life English too. And you can then wisely choose a top notch institute online or offline. Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening are core of language. If going abroad and getting PR is your aim then you must have through awareness of every step and even if you are not going to do anything above mentioned then too learning language will help you to write official emails, read and comprehend whatever is written and finally speak with confidence and debating with anyone on any particular topic. This will give you a cutting edge over the others and you will be relaxed while attending your regular classes also in school. Indeed those who learn at early age they have good base and clear their competitive exams with flying colors not forgetting it will help them to settle abroad and get their visa easily.

Now, I am coming to the point of why I chose particular career options for my daughters. If I talk about my elder daughter, she was in 10th grade then only I started pondering over choosing the best stream for her. So the first option in my mind was sending her overseas for study or studying abroad, but she showed no interest in that. I have been a language trainer in Karnal since the year 2000, running my institute by the name of English for you. My daughter, even used to help me in teaching grammar, which helped in her future journey. I dropped the idea of making her the best IELTS and PTE trainer like me because taking a study loan and having a lot of sleepless nights and an uncertain future was not my type. Then I took arts for her and took additional English for her because I saw she had a keen interest in writing and researching on varied topics. Like mother like daughter, but she never wanted to be a mentor or trainer, and luckily I was writing online content those days and she used to help me in that. This made my mind clear about the thing that she should go for a content writing career and obviously it was not against her consent. The best way might have been to take Mass communication or B. A (Hons.) in English but I could not convince her for taking English as her subject after 12th and she went for B.B.A. Even though this also helped her because she gained knowledge of marketing tactics and content writing or marketing is part of digital marketing only and making it short I would say that she is happy being a content curator and is working in an IT firm with a great package.

Talking about my second daughter she was thinking to take a bachelor’s in fine arts and wanted to become an artist, but as the contemporary era is of computer, AI, and computer-aided designing and we cannot think of any field isolating ourselves from this, thus we decided to take B.SC in Multimedia (computer science) for her and she is enjoying that and doing well. Sooner or later she would get a reputed job, which I am sure about.

It is not what she has opted, she is trying hard to acquire those skills too, which will lead to the fact that she will not only be a degree holder but will also be a skilled person, this time also she is helping me in my making Photoshop images and videos and that only I am posting on my Instagram and Facebook.

Taking one more example, I would love to illustrate that I saw a documentary on TV that, two girls have made an app, where cattle sellers and buyers can get connected. India is a land of farmers and has great opportunities in agriculture too but we think it is low-level work and we do not go for it, here we restrict our mind to think that only a few career options are good, aren’t we behaving like sheep? We do not have talent but we want to do what others are doing. So even this type of course, can make your dream to fly foreign true and you can earn a lot. People say India has no opportunities but we need to understand that we need to create those opportunities and then our innovation will pay us.

However, I do not say that I always make prudent choices, as initially I took science for my younger daughter and almost wasted her one year and my money and when she was not understanding Physics, she left that and finally we chose Arts for her, so I think parents need counseling and pupils need to avoid peer pressure. They need to understand the difference between their specialized skills and peer pressure, sometimes they do not know what they want and are not clear about it. So if you feel that your child has the potential to do something different then let him or her do it, he would certainly find a way out to pursue his hobby as career. Parents and their children should not ask anyone else what is best for their child, rather they must know that only going abroad is not the way of money earning if they want to study abroad then they should look for something which their children would enjoy doing in future. We must not think these things only in the terms of money we have to have a probe into the realm of our mind. It is not only these two options are great, all those options are great in which you can think out of the box.You need to take the right decision, money will automatically come.

You need to give society something different, a unique talent which only you possess, or you are at least master in. There is no use of doing anything halfheartedly and then getting failed many times and then repenting later in life.
